MBABANE – Some Emaswati might be in an opportunity to go to Azerbaijan for a benchmarking exercise, regarding setting up of a one-stop service centre.
This transpired today (Thursday, November 14, 2024) when Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini visited Asan Xidmat, an award-winning one-stop service centre in Baku, Azerbaijan. According to information from Eswatini Government, Asan offers over 400 services, including an innovation start-up centre, banking services, business registration and others.
Upon visiting the service centre, the premier is said to have been impressed with what the centre had to offer. The prime minister is said to have committed to fast-tracking the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Eswatini and Asan and send a team of experts to Azerbaijan to do further benchmarking.
The establishment of one-stop service centre is among the things the Eswatini Government plans to do, in its quest to develop the lives of Emaswati. A one-stop service centre can be defined as a service structure which provides the citizen with a number of services and benefits in a single location.
According to Nedbank South Africa, these are the benefits of a one-stop service centre:
• New revenue streams
A business, supplier or third party can enjoy new revenue streams, which will allow them to make more profit from the same consumer base.
• Set your business apart
Gives your business a boost among other competitors who do not offer comprehensive products.
• Convenience and variety
Consumers can shop for more than one item at a time, making it unnecessary for them to reach out to several other suppliers. This also makes the range of products and services more accessible to market.
• Closer consumer loyalty
Consumers are less likely to move to another supplier because it is harder to do so when all needs can be met by one supplier in one transaction.
