PIGG’S PEAK – What began as a routine shopping trip turned into a life-changing moment for Sindi Nkambule, who won E2 000 in Embiveni Meat Market’s Candana Ja draw for just spending E213.60 during the grand opening of the new Mimi Meat Market branch in Sipiki on Saturday, 31 May 2025.
The Candana Ja draw, which translates to “Try Your Luck,” is a monthly initiative that started on 9 May 2025, where customers who spend E100.00 or more at any Embiveni Meat Stores automatically enter into a draw to win a cash prize of E20 000. This initiative not only supports loyal shoppers but also encourages the community to buy fresh, locally sourced meat products.
Speaking during the event, Embiveni Marketing Officer, Nontsikelelo Dlamini emphasized the company’s commitment to uplifting local communities through initiatives like Candana Ja. “This draw is our way of giving back to Emaswati who continue to support us,” she said. “Every purchase counts, and we want to reward our customers in a meaningful way.
The highlight of Saturday’s event was the announcement of a lucky winner, Sindi Nkambule from eNdzingeni who is currently working at Rockland Saw Mill, walked away with E2 000 in prize money for spending just E213.60. Overjoyed, Nkambule expressed her excitement and gratitude: “I just decided to step in and buy, hoping luck would be on my side, and it was! I’m so happy,” she said.
She also encouraged others to support Embiveni Meat, “To other customers, I say come and buy fresh and healthy meat. You never know, you could be the next winner.”
This draw was a special giveaway to celebrate the opening of the new store. The main draw, where the grand prize winner will walk away with E20 000 in cash, is scheduled to take place on Monday after lunch on Facebook.
