MMBABANE – SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini has received essential supplies worth E50 000 from Embiveni Meat Industries (EMI) to support vulnerable children and families across the country.
The donation includes toiletries, sanitary pads, and food parcels, will benefit 504 children living in SOS villages in Mbabane, Nhlangano, and Siteki, as well as more than 3 500 children in surrounding communities.
Speaking during the handover, Andile Nhleko-Makama, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini, expressed deep gratitude to EMI for helping ensure children do not go to bed hungry. She emphasized that partnerships like these strengthen the organization’s ability to care for children despite ongoing challenges.

“This support is more than a gift of goods. It is a gesture of solidarity and kindness,” Nhleko-Makama said. “When you invest in a child, you are investing in the future of the entire community.”

Ncobile Dlamini, Marketing Executive at Inyatsi Group, commended SOS Children’s Villages for its life-changing work and echoed His Majesty King Mswati III call for collective responsibility in caring for vulnerable groups, including children and the elderly.
She also conveyed a message from Inyatsi Group Chairman Michelo Shakantu, underscoring the importance of corporate social investment.
Shakantu, who also guides EMI’s corporate values, noted that true corporate success lies in working hand-in-hand with communities. “Our responsibility goes beyond supplying meat products. We are committed to giving back to the people we serve,” he said. “With agility, accountability, integrity, and teamwork, we dedicate ourselves to uplifting society and ensuring no one is left behind.”
SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini has called on more companies to follow EMI’s example, highlighting how private sector partnerships can transform thousands of lives and help build stronger, more resilient communities.
