MBABANE – The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) will go to polls and hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday (December 15, 2024) at the Happy Valley Hotel, Ezulwini.

EOCGA released the nominees last week and has now announced they can start campaigning until Sunday, the voting day.

According to the statement from EOCGA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maxwell Jele, this significant event will provide a platform for members to engage in the electoral process and have a say in the association’s leadership.

In the race for the Presidency, Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa will compete against Peter Shongwe. Both candidates bring distinct visions and leadership styles, making this a highly anticipated election. For the position of Vice President, Zakhele Dlamini, Temangcamane Maseko and Nhlanhla Maphanga will be vying for the role, each ready to contribute their unique perspectives to the EOCGA.

Zakhele Zulu will unopposedly contest the position of Treasurer, reflecting the membership’s confidence in his ability to manage the association’s finances effectively.

Additionally, the nominees for the board members include Pearl Dlamini, Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini, Simanga Magagula, Ntombi Masango, Reuben Nxumalo, Thobile Magagula, Webster Lukhele, and Zakhele Dlamini. Campaign
