LUANDA, ANGOLA – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini held a high-level bilateral meeting yesterday with senior executives from the United States International Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) on the sidelines of the US-Africa Business Summit.

The discussions, held in Luanda, focused on unlocking funding for mega infrastructure, transport, energy, and mining projects in Eswatini. Representing IDFC were Mr. Conor Coleman, Chief of staff and Head of Investments, and Mr. Alexander Macdonald, Director of Africa Policy.

IDFC expressed a strong interest in financing Eswatini’s strategic development priorities and exploring innovative financing models tailored for emerging economies. The corporation, which supports the foreign policy goals of the US Government through development-focused funding, revealed it currently has over USD60 billion earmarked for disbursement globally.

The meeting is a milestone in Eswatini’s quest for sustainable development and signals growing global confidence in the Kingdom’s investment potential.

Following this engagement, PM departed for Mozambique, where he will represent His Majesty King Mswati III and the people of Eswatini at Mozambique’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
