ESWATINI INVITED TO PARTAKE IN SERBIA EXPO 2027

MBABANE – Eswatini has been given yet another opportunity to showcase its products during the Expo 2027 in Serbia.

The king said this yesterday (Sunday, October 27, 2024) at Ludzidzini Royal Residence during a media briefing on his three-week trip to three countries, including Italy, Serbia, and Samoa. The king said they got the invitation when visiting the South-East European country.

His Majesty the King emphasised that Eswatini would be showcasing its products to the whole world, which would be participating in the expo. The king said the Serbian Government, under the leadership of President Aleksandar Vucic, had already allocated a stand where Emaswati would be showcasing their products during the expo.

According to the king, this is another market to be used by Emaswati to showcase their products and identity to the international community. He urged the nation to prepare for this event, as it could bear positive consequences.

The king also stated that Serbia was willing to work with Eswatini on many sector, as the Central European country was advanced in many of the sectors. One area in which Serbia expressed interest was the construction of the SADC University of Technology. The king said Serbia came at a time when Eswatini had a huge responsibility of ensuring the existence of the university, a task that was not easy at all.

He further mentioned that Serbia was also advanced in areas such as information technology, agriculture, national security and other sectors. He said Serbia had opened doors for Emaswati to go there and be attached so that they could learn skills they would apply in this country, so that Eswatini could also be developed, just like Serbia.
