MBABANE – The Kingdom of Eswatini’s Microprojects Programme has issued a tender (C512/24-25/001) inviting bids from locally registered contractors for the supply of earth moving plants and building materials. This initiative aims to facilitate the construction of sports centers in the Hhohho region, specifically in two batches: Ntfonjeni Sports Centre and Maphalaleni Sports Centre.
The tender is open to contractors registered with the Construction Industry Council (CIC) under categories C2, C3, and C4. A key requirement is that at least 60% of the controlling shares of the bidding company must be owned by Eswatini citizens. The selection process will rigorously evaluate the contractors’ plant personnel capabilities, equipment, financial standing, previous experience, and current workload.
Key Requirements and Information for Bidders:
Registration: Valid CIC registration certificate (C2, C3, C4) and Company Registration Certificate.
Ownership: At least 60% Swazi citizen ownership.
Financial: E3,500.00 Tender Security (Bank Guarantee/Letter of Credit) and E1,000.00 non-refundable payment for tender documents per batch.
Site Visit: Mandatory site briefing at Microprojects Offices on March 20, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
Document Collection: Tender documents available from March 19, 2025 (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) upon payment at Government Revenue Offices using code 231/1201/21132.
Submission Deadline: April 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM Eswatini time.
Opening of Documents: April 2, 2025, at 10:10 AM Eswatini time.

Certified copy of valid CIC registration.
Original signed Declaration of Attendance of the site visit.
Original valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
Certified copy of valid Trading License.
Letter of Authority for signatory.
Tender Security (E3,500.00).
Certified copy of valid Labour Compliance Certificate.
Completed and signed Form of Tender.
Police Clearance for all Company Directors (within 3 months).
Certified copy of Company Current Form J (stamped by Registrar of Companies).
Certified copy of Company Current Form C (stamped by Registrar of Companies).
Certified copies of shareholders’ identity documents.
For joint ventures, a notarized joint venture agreement.
Important Notes:
Tenderers must adhere to all instructions provided during the briefing sessions.
The Microprojects Programme reserves the right to request additional information to rectify nonmaterial nonconformities.
