MBABANE – Government has unveiled an ambitious plan to achieve 12 per cent economic growth by the fiscal year 2029.

This target is part of the Eswatini Government Programme of Action (2024-2029) and aligns with the “Nkwe Mandate,” emphasizing economic inclusivity, employment creation, and poverty alleviation.

The strategy focuses on creating a business-friendly environment to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), enhance infrastructure, and stimulate private sector growth. Key initiatives include the establishment of Special Economic Zones, reforming regulatory frameworks, and creating innovation hubs to drive entrepreneurship.

According to projections, Eswatini’s GDP growth will rise steadily, reaching the ambitious 12% by 2029. A key element of this growth involves partnerships with development agencies and the private sector to fund critical sectors like energy, ICT, and manufacturing.
