MBABANE – In a powerful show of collaboration, the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT), in partnership with the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM), is hosting a comprehensive workshop focused on cybercrime investigations, prosecutions, and electronic evidence handling.
The capacity-building initiative is supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and brings together a range of critical stakeholders. These include the Royal Eswatini Police Service, financial institutions, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)’s Office, Eswatini Revenue Service, the Financial Intelligence Unit, and the Anti-Corruption Commission.
Renowned cybersecurity expert Advocate Jacqueline Fick from Vizstratsolutions is leading the training sessions, which delve into digital forensics, relevant legal frameworks, and global best practices for handling cybercrime evidence.
This strategic collaboration reflects the Government of Eswatini’s unwavering commitment to enhancing national digital security, safeguarding financial systems, and promoting justice in the digital era. By empowering law enforcement and regulatory institutions with cutting-edge knowledge and tools, Eswatini is making bold strides toward a safer and more secure digital environment for all citizens.
