MBABANE- Eswatini TV to broadcast Imbube Marathon live, celebrating unity, culture, and community spirit.
Eswatini TV has dedicated its programming schedule to live coverage of the 10th Imbube Marathon to take place at Somhlolo Stadium on the 18th of October 2025. This initiative seeks to maximize local content, foster community engagement, and showcase the nation’s unique talent and culture.
The marathon features a diverse group of participants, fromathletes to first-time runners, many of whom are local residents. The live broadcast includes pre-race preparations, live feeds of runners crossing various checkpoints, interviews with participants, volunteers, and spectators, as well as post-race celebrations. The coverage aims to tell their stories, emphasizing perseverance, health, and community support. Additionally, local businesses participating as sponsors and vendors receive prominent coverage, further boosting the local economy.
“Our goal is to bring our viewers closer to their community,” said Nomcebo Malinga, the Communications and Marketing Officer. “By focusing on local events like the marathon, we are not only providing engaging content but also strengthening community bonds and promoting local pride.
