MBABANE – The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Andile Mbingo of Nhlambeni Inkhundla for proudly representing the Kingdom of Eswatini at the recently held Youth Forum in Turkmenistan.

Mbingo was selected through a rigorous and highly competitive process conducted by the United Nations, where she emerged as the top candidate among a pool of passionate and talented young Emaswati. Her selection alone was a remarkable achievement, and her performance at the forum has further elevated Eswatini’s profile on the international stage.

The Youth Forum took place alongside the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), hosted at the Awaza Conference Youth Centre in Turkmenistan. Mbingo actively participated in various high-level sessions and panel discussions, gaining invaluable insights into global development issues, innovation, and youth leadership. She engaged with young leaders from across the world and has committed to bringing the knowledge and experiences gained back home to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Minister Khumalo, who also attended the LLDC3 Conference, praised Ms. Mbingo’s dedication and called her representation a milestone for the Kingdom’s youth. “We are proud of Ms. Mbingo’s achievement. She demonstrated the potential and excellence that lies within our youth. Her success should inspire other young people to step up and engage in global conversations about development, innovation, and leadership,” he said.

The Minister further highlighted the critical role that youth play in shaping the future, particularly in digital innovation and sustainable economic growth. Ms. Mbingo’s participation, he said, was a shining example of Eswatini’s commitment to empowering young people and involving them in strategic global development processes.

Her attendance at the Youth Forum not only raised Eswatini’s flag high but also reflected the growing importance of inclusive youth participation in solving global challenges.
