MBABANE – The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) has launched a heartfelt appeal to the public to support the Abandoned Babies for Christ Ministry, a beacon of hope for vulnerable infants in the country.
Through a recently released flyer, the ETA has urged individuals and organisations to contribute essential items for the care of these abandoned babies. The flyer, adorned with a touching image of a crawling baby and the ministry’s logo, clearly outlines the urgent needs of the ministry.
It calls for donations of baby necessities such as food, clothing, and toiletries, including nappies, wipes, creams, and oils. The message emphasises that “any gift from the heart will go a long way,” highlighting the importance of even small contributions in making a significant difference.
The ETA sets a deadline for donations, with items to be delivered on February 28. This timeframe provides a clear target for those wishing to contribute and ensures timely support for the ministry. To facilitate easy access to information and coordination, the flyer provides two contact numbers: +268 2404 1089 and +268 7808 9000.
These numbers serve as direct lines for individuals seeking to learn more about the initiative or coordinate their donations. The campaign is further amplified through the hashtag #LOVEESWATINIGIVES, encouraging social media engagement and broader awareness.
The flyer also features the Eswatini Tourism logo and social media handles, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to this cause. This initiative by the ETA underscores the importance of corporate social responsibility and community support. By leveraging its platform and resources, the ETA plays a crucial role in mobilising assistance for one of the most vulnerable segments of society.
The call to action is not just a request for material goods but also an invitation to the community to extend their compassion and support to these little hearts in need. The Abandoned Babies for Christ Ministry, with its mission to provide a safe haven for children, stands as a testament to the power of collective action and the enduring spirit of human kindness.
The ETA’s initiative serves as a reminder that tourism is not just about showcasing the beauty of a nation but also about caring for its people, especially its most vulnerable. As the February 28 deadline approaches, the ETA’s call for support resonates deeply, urging everyone to contribute in whatever way they can.
By answering this call, individuals and organisations play a vital role in providing a brighter future for the abandoned babies under the care of the Abandoned Babies for Christ Ministry.
ETA’s Head of Marketing, Chunky Dlamini, confirmed that ETA pleads with Emaswati to donate anything they can, from clothing and other items needed for babies to live a better life.
She stated that they did this as a corporate social investment (CSI) programme, which they usually conduct in February every year. Dlamini pleads with Emaswati to help them spread love to the children stationed at Ngwenya, so that they could also feel loved. She notes that they will visit the children on February 28 to make the donations. She said they also visited some care points in other parts of the country in the past.
