MBABANE – The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has delegated Kenya’s Catherine Mabwi for the Eswatini National Volleyball Association (ENVA) Level 1 Coaching course that is scheduled for August 12-16, 2024, at the Olympia Africa Centre in Lobamba.
The ENVA Secretary General (SG) Thabo Dlamini confirmed that the FIVB will send an instructor who will be conducting the Level 1 coaching course. “The FIVB has allocated us an instructor, Catherine Mabwi from Kenya.” He said.
According to www.cavb.africa, Catherine Mabwi is a qualified Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) and African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Instructor, currently coaching M-pesa Foundation Academy. The former Kenyan International volleyball player became both the only Kenyan and first woman from Africa to attain the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) instructor.
He also stated that the preparations are going well, with organising committee still organising the rest of the logistic and the coaching course will continue as projected and planned. The FIVB approved the ENVA’s request a couple of weeks ago to conduct the Level 1 coaching course that is aimed at accommodating those who did not have entry level for coaching, and improving the quality of volleyball in the country.
