EZULWINI – Art meets emotion in visual diary exhibition!

A vibrant wave of creativity is set to sweep through Eswatini on June 27, 2025, with the launch of an intimate yet powerful art exhibition titled “Becoming A Visual Diary.”

The art exhibition will be held at Asante Guest House in Ezulwini, and entrance is free to attend and open to the public from 3 PM, this showcase will spotlight the evolving journeys of five emerging local artists through deeply personal and expressive works.

Curated as more than just a gallery showing, “Becoming A Visual Diary” invites audiences to step into the minds and emotions of the artists, each piece unfolding like a page in a lived experience. The exhibition explores universal themes such as growth, love, trauma, healing, and identity, giving voice to untold stories through visual expression.

“The idea is to showcase our work in a way that reflects where we are and where we’ve been,” explains featured artist Mzwandile Moletsane. “We’re all on different journeys, and this exhibition captures those paths through art.”

Joining Moletsane are four other talented creatives — Siyanda Dlamini, Neliso Mdluli, Sambulo Shongwe, and Shepard Sikhondze — each bringing a unique visual language to the collective narrative. From abstract pieces to bold figurative works, visitors can expect a dynamic range of styles that speak to both personal and shared experiences.

While the pieces are visually striking, the exhibition also aims to elevate emerging artistic voices in Eswatini. “Visibility is everything,” Moletsane adds. “This is about connecting with the community and giving people the chance to understand the heart behind our work.”

The exhibition also serves as a platform for cultural exchange. With the venue attracting both locals and international guests, the artists are eager to engage new audiences — and maybe even spark meaningful conversations or sales.

“This is not just an exhibition; it’s an invitation into our inner worlds,” says Moletsane. “Please come in numbers. It’s going to be fun, emotional, and inspiring.”

“Becoming A Visual Diary” is not only a celebration of artistic growth but also a testament to the power of storytelling through art. Whether you’re an avid collector, a casual admirer, or someone simply looking to be moved — this exhibition promises a memorable journey through visual expression.
