EZULWINI – FNB Eswatini has successfully launched the 4th edition of the FNB Eswatini Challenge at Ezulwini Golf Club, unveiling a massive E2 million sponsorship aimed at growing the sport of golf in Eswatini.
The exciting tournament that is held under the theme “Asiyindzawo, sitintile Eswatini”, is as the result of a strong strategic partnership between FNB Eswatini, the Eswatini Professional Golf Association, Eswatini Tourism, and the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs. Together, these stakeholders are working to position Eswatini as a regional hub for professional golf while expanding opportunities for youth and community development through sport.

Speaking at the official launch, FNB Eswatini CEO Thokozani Dlamini reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to supporting sports as a vehicle for empowerment and economic growth. “We are proud to associate ourselves with golf, a sport that not only promotes discipline and strategic thinking but also opens doors for youth development and international exposure,” said Dlamini.
In a deliberate effort to support local talent, the bank has allocated E60,000 in prizes specifically for the top three performing Emaswati golfers in the tournament. “We want to encourage Emaswati to compete with honor and take pride in representing their nation,” Dlamini added.

To ensure that aspiring local golfers are well-prepared, FNB Eswatini has opened the Ezulwini Golf Club to the public free of charge, allowing players ample time to practice and sharpen their skills ahead of the competition.
Now in its fourth year, the FNB Eswatini Challenge is expected to attract top-tier players from both Eswatini and the broader Southern African region. The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of golfing excellence while also delivering significant economic benefits through increased activity in the hospitality, tourism, and small business sectors.

With this bold investment, FNB Eswatini is not only expanding its footprint in the sporting arena but also reaffirming its role as a catalyst for social and economic transformation. The Challenge embodies the spirit of the theme “Asiyindzawo Sitintile, Eswatini” meaning “We’ve made our mark, Eswatini” as it encourages both athletes and the nation to strive for greatness.
