MBABANE – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has issued a warning to members of the public about fraudulent scholarship award letters and agreement forms currently being circulated and given to unsuspecting members of the public.
According to a statement issued by Ministry of Labour and Social Security Principal Secretary (PS) Makhosini Mndawe, it has come to the attention of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security that there are fraudulent Scholarship Award Letters and Agreement Forms circulating and being issued to the public.
These Scholarship Award Letters and Agreement Forms are said to be issued by some individuals outside of the Ministry designated offices and at a cost. According to Mndawe, the Ministry distances itself from these fraudulent award letters and agreement forms. The public is strongly advised that NO scholarships, award letters or agreement forms are issued outside of the Ministry’s’ designate Offices.
Any activity outside of the Ministry’s designated offices shall be considered fraud and a reportable offence. The public is also informed that scholarship services in the Ministry are provided at NO cost. The Ministry requests the public to desist from participating in such unacceptable conduct and to report all activity of this nature to the office of the Principal Secretary in the Ministry or the nearest Police Post.
