MABABANE – Entertainment will be at its best during the Mbabane Day and the Mbabane Half Marathon set for November 23, 2024.
The Municipal Council of Mbabane who is hosting the event with the support of MTN under Fintech announced that part of the entertainment, there will be local comedians Gogo and Silwane.
“Gogo and Silwane are ready for Mbabane Half Marathon and Mbabane Day. Are you ready? If you have not registered, you have until Friday, November 15 and if you are registered and but paid, use the code 180900. All roads lead to Mbabane on Saturday, November 23, 2024,” reads a statement from the Municipal Council of Mbabane.
The event to be held at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground will start with the Half Marathon at 5:30am. The half marathon will also feature a 10km and 5km runs. It’s E180 to register for the 21km, E130 for the 10km run and E60 for the 5km.
For registration runners can go to www.mbabane.org.sz and follow the instruction form there.
There are also activities to be hosted on the day including some sporting codes being basketball and netball games that would be played at the Coronation Park Courts while boxing will be held at the Prince of Wales, starting at noon.
Meanwhile, the Council employees took to the streets of Mbabane to invite people to register for the upcoming events that saw over 1 500 people registered for the Half Marathon sponsored to the tune of E250 000 by MTN Fintech.
