MBABANE – Team Eswatini has made a promising start at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, which officially launched recently.
The opening ceremony was graced by notable figures, including the Emperor of Japan and the Prime Minister, alongside delegates from over 170 countries.

The Eswatini pavilion has attracted a diverse range of visitors from various countries, including Japan, the USA, Germany, and Poland. This engagement highlights the interest in Eswatini’s offerings and initiatives at the Expo.
Team Eswatini Composition
The team representing Eswatini is a collaborative effort from both public and private sectors, including:
– Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) – acting as the Expo Liaison Agency.
– Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade – leading coordination through its Industry Department.
– Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs – focusing on tourism initiatives.
– Eswatini Tourism Authority and Eswatini National Trust Commission (ENTC) – promoting cultural and natural heritage.
– Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture – represented by the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Council.
– Ministry of Economic Planning and Development – emphasizing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
– Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology and other key ministries and organizations.
