MBABANE – Opportunities has been availed by the Ministry of Health to entrepreneurs to supply the Ministry with medical products.
The opportunities, which are invitations to tender, have been posted today (Monday, November 8, 2024) by the Ministry of Health on its social media platforms. The Ministry also promised to avail the invitations to tender on Eswatini Government’s website.
According to the Ministry, two invitations to tender are availed to those who may be interested to tender. One of them wants suppliers of medical supplies, dressings, and sutures. Another one is inviting business people who will be able to supply the ministry with pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
Those who are invited for supplies of medical supplies, dressings, and sutures have until February 7, 2025 to submit their proposals. By 9am on that day, the proposals should have been submitted, as late submissions, by any means, will not be entertained. They are expected to make their submissions to the Secretary of the Tender Board, Treasury Building, PO Box 38, Mbabane.
According to the invitation, there will be a non-compulsory pre tender meeting to be held at the new Central Medical Stores (CMS) Meeting Room at 9am. The meeting is set to be held on December 6, 2024. Tenders should be delivered at the offices of the Tender Board, Treasury Building, PO Box 38, Mbabane. The tenders should be deposited in the Treasury Tender Box, situated in the Treasury Building.
The tenders should be accompanied by an original copy of the general receipt for E300, which should be paid to the Eswatini Revenue Office. Tenders should be enclosed in a sealed envelope when sent to the Treasury Building. When submitting, the tenderers should also include current tax clearance certificates for the tender, valid trading licence, Form J (current shareholders), Form C (annual company returns), valid labour compliance certificate (for national tenderers) or equivalent for foreign tenderers, a police clearance certificate or equivalent proving that the tenderer or any of its directors and offices have not been convicted, certificate of incorporation, valid Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) employers’ compliance clearance certification (or equivalent for tenderers), VAT certificate, manufacturer’s authority, and tender securing declaration.
The same requirements apply for tenderers who may want to supply the Ministry with pharmaceuticals and vaccines. The only difference is that they are expected to submit their proposals (tenders) not later than February 14, 2025 at 9am. Late submissions will also not be entertained.
