MANZINI -Spin fanatics gather here!
The Hakuna Matata Spin Fest is set to debut on 29 March 2025, at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in Manzini.
The event will kick off at 2 PM and is expected to continue until 6 AM the following morning. This exciting festival aims to celebrate the art of spinning, showcasing the skills of both local and South African youth spinners.
The event is organized by Nqaba Ginindza, along with the owners of the show who are also local spinner namely; Langa Xaba who is the youngest spinner to take part in the fest, Lihle Nkhwanyane, and Nkosikona Nxumalo.
Ginindza shared with this publication that the festival was inspired by the growing interest among the youth in spin events, noting their experiences competing with legends in the field.
The festival will feature a mix of local and South African spinners. Notable South African guests include Austin Kruger, Sunesh, Bamjie, and many others. Local teams such as Team Brema, Team Swazi, and Team Salim will also participate at the fest.
According to Ginindza in addition to the spinning competitions, the event will feature top local DJs spinning at the party, and food stalls will be available for attendees. Those interested in setting up food stalls can get more information by contacting 7805 4622 /7602 4879.
Shuttle services will be provided from various pick-up points at a fee, including Portuguese Club, Ezulwini, and Matsapha, starting at 3 PM and 6 PM. This event promises to be a vibrant celebration of youth culture and spinning skills!
