MBABANE – It was a sensational performance by Hayley Hoy in the on-going XX Africa Aquatic Zone IV Swimming and Open Water Championships as she won a bronze medal in her first competition.
Hoy won the bronze medal with a personal best time of 10:28:23 in the girls 15 years and over. She came third and she will be in the podium finish for her medal.
Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) also congratulated Simanga Dlamini who also finished with a personal best of 10:23:45 in the boys 15 years and over. The duo was the first to compete in the championships attended by over 14 countries from the Africa.
The championships started on Wednesday and they will end on Saturday. Eswatini has sent a squad of 18 swimmers.
