MANZINI – South African legendary House DJ Vinny Da Vinci and former Idols contestant Brandon Dhludhlu lead the pack for the highly anticipated 6th edition of House Musiq Fest (HMF), which will be held next month.
The House Musiq Fest will be held at the Manzini Club on 29 March 2025, this was confirmed by the new Swazi Boy Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ndunduzo ‘Dankos’ Nkonyane.
Nkonyane commented, “Join us for an unforgettable experience at the House Musiq Fest, where we bring together all house music enthusiasts under one roof,” shared the PRO.
The first drop of artists announced includes; local Afro House duo: The Scientists, Expo, Fantacy, and Selby.
It is worth noting that Vinny Da Vinci, who is the most celebrated and decorated house music DJ in Africa, was last year’s headliner for the same festival.
Brandon Dhludhlu Mpumalanga-born Xolani Brandon Dhludhlu is a singer best known as the SA Idols season 16 finalists in 2020; he made it to the final three in the music competition.
Highlights of the festival, according to Nkonyane, include live performances by top house music DJs, interactive workshops, and panels of music lovers, food trucks, and vendors offering delicious foods and networking opportunities with fellow house music enthusiasts.
The fifth edition of last year’s festival saw a partnership between House Musiq Fest and Trace. The airtime-based partnership saw ads played on two of their channels, Trace Southern Africa and Trace Urban. The second part after the festival was aired on these channels. The channel covered the entire event.It also included different types of stalls, including health, financial, and insurance stalls; an art centre; a beer garden; and games.
The success of HMF has attracted other countries, which saw the team conduct two activations in Mozambique and South Africa over the weekend. One was in Maputo, Mozambique, and the other was in SA Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. HMF decided to activate in other countries because they have noted the growth of the festival over the past five years.
The fifth edition line-up of the festival included legendary South African House DJ Vinny da Vinci, Artwork Sound lAce4nic, Cece & Mthizo, DJ Benny, Ndumz DJ, Soul Freakah, Sooks, Monique Bingham, Fantacy, Ras Ned Music, Fizz & Shai-A, Crooks, and many more.
