HRH PRINCESS SAKHIZWE CALLS ON NATION TO SUPPORT ESWATINI PRODUCTS

MBABANE – Her Royal Highness Princess Sakhizwe has called upon all members of the public to support products made in Eswatini.

Princess Sakhizwe said this on March 20, 2025 at KaGogo Start-Ups at The Mall in Mbabane. This was during the Venue Tour and Press Briefing, in preparation of the upcoming Made in Eswatini Consumer Fair, which is slated for April 25, 2025.

Speaking during the press briefing, Princess Sakhizwe narrated that she had a good experience, touring half of Dr Sishayi Road, which is a venue where the Eswatini-made products would be displayed on the day.

The princess was told that Dr Sishayi Road was one of the busiest streets in the capital city. She, therefore, commended A Peculiar People for choosing the busy place for showcasing products made by Emaswati.

She further praised Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo for fully endorsing the Made in Eswatini Consumer Fair. She described Khumalo’s action as a commitment towards nurturing the growth of local products.

Princess Sakhizwe further praised the Municipal Council of Mbabane for having opened up the city to host this event. She said such an act by the local government authority showed its commitment to see the growth of businesses in the country.

The princess praised different sponsors of the event and the businesses participating in this event. Because of this support, Princess Sakhizwe expressed no doubt that this event would be successful.

She saw April 25, 2025 as a day that would be a success for all producers and consumers. She further invited all members of the public to be part of this historic event.

The princess was shown a list of over 100 products that would be showcased on the day. She was also informed that a final list with prices would be issued in due cause. She said this would allow members of the public to plan to buy in time.

Nelile Lukhele of Nelson Creations Scents thanked Princess Sakhizwe for supporting the initiative. She was speaking on behalf of local business people during the briefing.

Acting Municipal Council of Mbabane CEO Benedict Gamedze also thanked Princess Sakhizwe for honouring the event. He described Princess Sakhizwe’s visit to Mbabane as a positive development for the city. He expressed hope that this event as one that would continue in future.
