MANZINI – The fifth edition of the Schools Mission Youth Revival Gathering 2024 saw over three thousand young people attend at St. Michael’s Sports Ground yesterday.

The event was the organisation’s launch, and the fifth anniversary celebration. This was confirmed by the Founder/Leader and preacher of the movement Solomon Zikalala, who shared with this publication that they started visiting schools in 2019.

He said, “This was our fifth-year anniversary, and the first gathering, where we brought the schools and universities into one place. We were at St. Michael’s High School Sports Ground. We had over 3 000 young people gathered. Yesterday was amazing and we are still in shock and in awe of what God did and the turnout of the people. We saw many souls give their lives to Jesus. To God be the glory.”

Zikalala shared that they visited over 100 schools, including some in South Africa.
Yesterday saw performances by Gospel artists Sphiwo Ndoni and Michael David, as well as local pastors including Solomon Zikalala, Roisang Thendekiso, Apostle M. A. Simelane, and Apostle PP Zikalala.

When asked about the role of South African TV and radio personality Rorisang Thandekiso at the revival, he said, “She was one of the speakers yesterday. God put her in our hearts because she is also doing something like this in SA in an initiative called ‘Jesus This Jesus That.’”

He went on say, “We do not charge for taking the gospel to the youth; we also did not charge for having them come for the gathering yesterday. We were freely given, and we believe we must freely give.”

According to Zikalala, the Schools Mission is a God-given initiative for reaching out to schools and universities with the gospel of Jesus. It’s also a platform for declaring and raising awareness of the last great revival that has come on earth. He said, “God planted this initiative in my heart. It came through a voice that inspired my heart to go to the schools and preach the gospel of Jesus. God funds it! We have no sponsors yet; God touches people, and they reach out to help the running of the movement.”

Zikalala shared with this publication that they might have another gathering very soon, early next year, but they will continue going to school. He also revealed that he will also be visiting schools and universities in SA and Botswana next month.

School Mission is a team of young people from different churches across the country. It includes preachers, singers, musicians, intercessors, corporations, entrepreneurs, poets, etc. who are committed to taking Jesus to other young people.
