MBABANE – Runners who want to be part of Imbube Marathon should have registered before the end of today Friday, July 26, 2024) to avoid an additional of E50 on the registration fee.
The early registration that opened on July 8 costs each athlete E265 for the main event, 42.2km while it is E235 for the 21.1km and E210 for the 10km. As from July 27, the registration fee will increase with E50 under the mid-registration period that closes on August 24.
For the mid-registration, runners will pay E315 for the 42.2km, E285 for the 21.1km and E260 for the 10km.
Registration for the 6th edition of the Imbube Marathon is online on www.imbubemarathon.com.
The late registration that will start on August 24 will have an increase of E100 for all the three events. The only un-affected event is the 3.3km which is free to register.
Runners who will register after September 22 under late registration will not receive goodie bags.
The Imbube Marathon is set for October 6, starting and finishing at Somhlolo National Stadium. Over 6 000 runners, local and international are expected to be part of the biggest marathon in the country, which is hosted by the Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF).
So far, the event is sponsored to the tune of E425 000, with Standard Bank Eswatini sponsoring it with E350 000 while Old Mutual gave out E75 000.
