LOBAMBA – Her Majesty the Indlovukazi is worried about people who kill each other yet they are in love.
This act tells her that many Emaswati are still far away from enjoying the benefits that come with accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Her Majesty said this on April 18, 2025 during the Good Friday Easter Service held at the National Church in Lobamba.
The Queen Mother said she was tired of being told about people who have killed one another every time when she read the country’s newspapers or listened to the news from the country’s broadcast media. She said the best way for lovers to solve their problems was to engage in dialogue, not to kill one another.
The Indlovukazi was worried that Emaswati had not listened to counsel given to them by His Majesty King Sobhuza II, who advised Emaswati to find footsteps of Jesus. It was clear to her that there was still a long way to go for Emaswati to be successful in doing what King Sobhuza advised them to do.
She pleaded with religious leaders to keep on preaching the Word of God so that people would know the importance of the Word. She also noted that religious leaders who were women were also emerging, pinning her hopes on them too that they would play a vital role in making sure that people received the grace from Jesus so that bad things could be alleviated in the country and outside of the land.
The Queen Mother emphasised on the importance of living the life of fearing God because that would give an opportunity for people to be part of the Kingdom of God. She was also worried by the fact that most people were concerned about the worldly things, which were the ones that prevented them from receiving salvation.
She advised them to read the book of Isaiah Chapter 50, which advised people to seek Jehovah, for his hand was long and it could enable them to get eternal life. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, who introduced the Indlovukazi, also shared the Word of God on the book of John 10:17 to 18. He said in this book, Jesus was seen forsaking his life so that humanity could be saved.
Dlamini said Jesus did this out of the love he had for humanity and no one had forced him to do so. That was the reason no one was forced to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. He further thanked Their Majesties for allowing Emaswati to praise God the way they wanted in this country, as that was not allowed in other countries.
Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Prince Simelane, who is also the Royal Advisor on Religious Matters, advised that men were going to Ngabezweni Royal Residence tomorrow, where they would be with His Majesty King Mswati III, while the women brethren would be with Her Majesty the Indlovukazi at Ludzidzini Royal Residence. The youth would continue with their lesson at the National Church in Lobamba. League of African Churches President Bishop Samson Hlatjwako announced that E9 584 was collected from offerings during the service. More than five religious leaders (male and female) were given an opportunity to share the Word of God before the Queen Mother. Their sermons were taken from the books of Mathew, Luke, and John.
