INGCAYIZIVELE COOPERATIVE RECEIVES TRACTOR, IMPLEMENTS WORTH E1.2M

HHHUKWINI – Ingcavizivele Multipurpose Cooperative has received a tractor worth E1.2 Million fromthe Ministry of Tinkhundla through the Regional Development Fund (RDF).

 

This took place yesterday (Wednesday July 3, 2024) at Hhukwini Inkhundla, where the handover was officiated by the Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, together with his Principal Secretary (PS) Nonhlanhla Dlamini and the portfolio committee.

According to Ingcavizivele Multipurpose Cooperative Andreas Khanyile, the business was started by pensioners who previously worked for government. Their purpose was to mitigate unemployment and alleviate poverty in their community.

 

“We had more graduates who were unemployed and we saw it fit to come together and start t business as this will also assist them and they can in turn help their families.

He further expressed his gratitude to the Tinkhundla system of government in assisting devel their lives and feed their families,” Khanyile said.

Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini commended the society for being ambitious and persistence with their project. He encouraged them to grow and have more projects and expand their businesses.

“The RDF has laid a foundation for the cooperative by handing you a tractor, however you are still allowed to have more ideas that will help transform the lives of Emaswati and can still apply for funding in this fund as it is open for more business ideas,” Diamini said.

Dlamini also highlighted that emaSwati need to appreciate that the Tinkhundla system of Governance promotes the socio-economic development of all Emaswati through the democratic principles.

“The processes through which you individually and collectively organized yourselves to form Ingcavizivele Multipurpose cooperative and eventually benefit from the fund established through the same tinkhundla system is testimony to the legitimacy to the system, which embraces good governance principles,” the minister concluded.
