MBABANE – Those interested in competing in the Ingwenyama Cup Culture Competitions should mark February 15, 2025, on their calendars, as that is the official start date of the tournament.
The competition will begin at the regional level, with the Hhohho Region hosting the first event at Buhleni Sports Ground. The Manzini Region will follow the next day, February 16, 2025, at Mavuso Sports Centre.
On March 1, 2025, the Shiselweni Region will host its event at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, and the Lubombo Region will conclude the regional competitions on March 2, 2025, at Siteki Sports Ground, near the bus ranks.
Registration for the competitions will open on January 20, 2025. Forms will be available at the Regional Administrators’ (RA) offices, and registration will close on February 8, 2025. The Ingwenyama Cup Culture Competitions Committee has announced that all songs to be performed during the competitions will be released via video starting next week.
The committee also specified that participants competing in sibhaca or ingandla must consist of at least six members, while groups for lutsango and emajaha must have more than 20 participants.
