MBABANE – The quartet of Mbabane Swallows, Royal Leopard, Moneni Pirates and Young Buffaloes will know their fate in the Ingwenyama Cup semi-final this afternoon (Thursday, February 27, 2025).
The draw is billed for the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF) at 5pm. The remaining four teams in the tournament that started with 31 teams will be battling to reach the finals with the winner set to pocket E1 450 00.
Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Football Manager Banele Masondo announced the draw this morning. The dates and the venues of the semi-finals will be communicated in due course.
“Be informed that the Ingwenyama Cup Last 4 draw is scheduled for this afternoon at 5PM at SMVA Headquarters,” reads the statement.
Mbabane Swallows reached the semi-finals after beating Lozitha Spurs 3-1 while Royal Leopard won 1-0 against Ezulwini, Moneni Pirates sail through after a 3-1 win over rivals, Manzini Sea Birds and Young Buffaloes thrashed Illovo 5-1 to reach the semis.
Meanwhile, the main draw will be held alongside the Ingwenyama Cup Women’s tournament. The four remaining teams in the women’s tournament sponsored to the tune of E100 000 are Young Buffaloes Ladies, Nsingizini Hotspurs Ladies, Green Mamba Ladies and Royal Leopard Ladies.
The winners in the women’s tournament will take home E22 500.
