MBABANE – In a thrilling turn of events, the Masters (Over 50 years) Manzini Pool Club (MPC) Singles League saw Sikhatsi ‘Jikeleza’ Dlamini and Romeo Da Silva battling their way at the top of the log standing over the weekend.
Both players now share the lead, each boasting an impressive record and a total of 18 points. Sikhatsi ‘Jikeleza’ Dlamini, with six wins and one defeat out of the seven matches, has showcased remarkable consistency and skill. His journey to the top has been nothing but short of a spectacular, making formidable contender in the league.
Meanwhile, Romeo Da Silva has also proven his mettle by securing crucial victories against Vusi Masilela with a close score of 7-6, and against fellow title contender Jikeleza, with a more decisive 7-4.
The league sponsored to the tune of E12 000, has only been underway for a few weeks and is already providing plenty of drama and anticipation for the matches ahead. As the battle for the championship glory continues, Vusi Hadebe and Vusi Masilela are also likely to contest for the top spot as they are trailing closely at position three and four respectively, with 15 points each.
