KHANYO WON 4 MATCHES IN MPC SINGLES LEAGUE OPENING GAMES

MBABANE – The Manzini Pool Club (MPC) Open singles league kicked off to an exhilarating start this weekend, with over 15 players showcasing their prowess in a series of intense matches.
The games took place at the Manzini Pool Club on Saturday (June 29, 2024).
The singles league, which promises a cash prize of E16 000, saw standout matches performances and thrilling encounters, setting a high bar for the competition ahead.
Khanyo ‘Play Station’ Simelane is currently leading the pack with an impressive 12 points, having won all four of his opening games.
Simelane, who is Gupta’s pool star player, secured victories against Linda (7-5), Colani (7-6), Malangeni (7-3), and Mlungisi (7-1), demonstrating his dominance and consistency on the table.
Trailing closely behind Simelane are Flag Nxumalo and Malangeni Dlamini with nine points each, Colani Mbingo, Eddie Mondlane, Sonic Dlamini and Dumsani Malindzisa with six points each. All these title contenders have shown great potential and skill in their matches.
Meanwhile, Eswatini’s pool player Sibusiso Nhlabatsi also had a strong start securing multiple victories, including a triumph over Flag Nxumalo (7-3) and Ndumiso (7-1). Despite his impressive performance, Nhlabatsi has withdrawn from the league due to work commitment, which is a significant development in the ongoing competition.
