MADLANGEMPISI – The spirit of celebration and gratitude filled the air as His Majesty King Mswati III officially handed over tractors, trucks, and a TLB to three cooperatives, marking a transformative moment for local farmers.
The event, held at Madlangempisi Inkhundla, was met with resounding ululations and chants of “Bayethe Wena WaPhakathi!”, a testament to the people’s appreciation of the King’s unwavering commitment to agricultural development.
The game-changing equipment, procured through the Regional Development Fund (RDF), is set to enhance productivity, ensuring that local farmers have the tools they need to increase yields and contribute meaningfully to Eswatini’s food security and economic growth. His Majesty underscored the importance of empowering farmers, stating that “when farmers thrive, the whole nation benefits.”
Buhleni construction boosts local employment
Before arriving at Madlangempisi, His Majesty started his tourvisited Buhleni, where he was briefed on the progress of a new shopping complex under construction. The development project has already created 42 jobs, providing much-needed employment opportunities for the local community.
With each brick laid and beam installed, Buhleni is evolving into a hub of commerce and economic activity, bringing growth and development closer to the people. His Majesty’s vision for infrastructural expansion continues to take shape, offering new opportunities for businesses and individuals alike.
