SITEKI – His Majesty King Mswati III has officially opened an eye clinic at Good Shepherd Catholic Hospital.
The king opened the eye clinic on March 19, 2025, just after he delivered his speech during the Good Shepherd College of Health Sciences 51st Graduation Ceremony. The king named the eye clinic as Vulamehlo Yemaswati Eye Clinic.
During his speech at the graduation ceremony, the king said the eye clinic was refurbished for E10 million. He thanked development partners from countries such as Germany and Canada for making financial donations towards the construction of the eye clinic.
During the tour of the clinic, the king was shown how the clinic operates by Senani Mabaso, who is the Matron of the eye clinic. Mabaso further told the king that the clinic did not only treat Emaswati, but also treated Emaswati from SADC countries, particularly Mozambique and South Africa.
