MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III has officially opened Elangeni Poultry in Matsapha.
Elangeni Poultry is a subsidiary of Elangeni Food Group. The King opened Elangeni Poultry today (Monday, August 5, 2024) in Matsapha. The King first toured the poultry’s hatchery and abbatoir. The company produces 35 000 chickens per day.
Addressing the workers of the company, the King praised them for having discovered the technology that enabled them to produce so many chickens per day. He said in previously, people were subjected to unfavourable conditions that forced them to produce only one chicken.
This was mainly because there was lack of knowledge on how it could be possible to produce any product, let alone chickens, within a short space of time. The King told the workers that such a development showed that the country was developing and was on its way to reach its development goals.
