LOZITHA – His Majesty King Mswati III has proclaimed that 2025 will mark Eswatini’s entry into its promised land. Speaking at the Year Opening Prayer Service held at Mandvulo Grand Hall, the King delivered a powerful sermon urging Emaswati to embrace faith and prayer while leaving past burdens and adversaries to God.
The King emphasized the importance of spiritual warfare over physical conflict, referencing the biblical story of King Ahab. In his teaching, His Majesty highlighted that Ahab sought to engage in physical battles, overlooking the spiritual dimensions of the challenges he faced. He warned Emaswati against relying on “Ahabs” – individuals who offer counsel based on selfish motives or desires to appease – and encouraged them to instead seek advice from “Levites,” who align their guidance with God’s principles.
“If you’re faced with a difficult situation, you need a strategy or proper plan,” His Majesty said. “You need to seek advice from people who fear God, so that their guidance is not influenced by expectations of personal gain but rooted in God’s truth. We often encounter advisers who tell us what we want to hear, but God desires those who speak the truth as it is.”
Urging the nation to reject worldly solutions in favor of spiritual ones, the King called for a collective commitment to prayer and faith as the foundation for Eswatini’s journey into its promised land. He reminded Emaswati that spiritual truth and integrity must guide their steps as they confront challenges, leaving enemies to divine judgment.
The Year Opening Prayer Service marked the beginning of 2025 with a profound spiritual charge, setting the tone for a year defined by faith, truth, and divine guidance.
