MANZINI – Ten lucky emaSwati are smiling all the way home after winning Defy appliances worth E50 000 in this year’s Knorr Soup Drive.

The campaign, which ran from April to August, gave participants a chance to win by simply buying four packets of Knorr soup and entering the draw.

The team behind the campaign said the response was overwhelming, with winners emerging from all four regions of the country.

Speaking after the final prize handovers, Nontobeko “Nonty” Simelane, who ran the campaign for Robertson Spices, said the initiative had touched lives in unexpected ways.

“This campaign wasn’t just about soup, it was about connection,” Simelane said.

“We saw families bonding and people realising that sometimes, a simple packet of soup can bring both warmth and joy, and in this case, even life-changing prizes.”

She highlighted that the diversity of winners made the drive feel like a true national celebration.

“For many, this was their first big win in life, and seeing their joy reminded us why we do this,” she added.

Local influencer Bonkhe Shabangu kept the excitement alive with his energetic presence and the now-famous “Kuncaaa..” slogan that became a household phrase throughout the campaign.

Simelane concluded that Knorr would continue finding ways to give back to emaSwati.

“Knorr is more than just flavour, it’s about memories,” she said.

“This campaign reminded us that every bowl of soup has the power to make a house feel like home.”

The 2025 Knorr Soup Drive has officially ended, but for the winners and participants, its legacy will be remembered as one of joy, warmth, and shared community spirit.
