MBABANE – It’s safe to say that Lady Sphesh started the New Year with a bang, as her latest song titled Zigade aired on Channel O on Thursday.
The song aired on DSTV music channel 320 at 11am and 5.30pm.
Her year kicked off with her song titled Ngiyahamba, ushering us into the New Year on EBIS 2; the visuals of Lady Sphesh’s song titled Ngiyahamba have gained over 372,000 views on YouTube.
Born Siphesihle Shongwe, in Hluthi, Hosea Inkhundla shared with this publication that the song, Zigade, tells the story of children who face daily struggles and have to take care of themselves while their mothers are out working or hustling to provide for them. It highlights the challenges many kids go through and the resilience they show in tough situations.
She said, “The song was released on 6 September 2024. It is a meaningful project for me as it sheds light on real-life issues that many people can relate to. I worked on it with talented producers and collaborators who helped bring the vision to life with an emotional and powerful Amapiano sound,” shared the artist.
It is worth mentioning that her other song titled ‘Ngiyahamba visuals were released on 24 December 2024, while the official song was released on 14 December 2024.
In previous interview with this publication shared that having her song ‘as a crossover song and seeing the incredible number of views was truly humbling and rewarding. She noted that it’s a reflection of the love and support from her fans who continue to motivate her. She narrated that she is grateful for every listener, every share, and every person who resonates with the song. It’s a beautiful reminder that hard work, authenticity, and passion always connect with people.
The Amapiano track, which blends rhythm, emotion, and powerful messages, is quickly making waves in the music scene; the song is deeply personal, born from her own experiences and those she’s observed around her. The song is inspired by real-life situations that many people can relate to. It reflects on love, struggle, celebration, and aims to connect with listeners on an emotional level.
Shongwe started her music career three years ago, her talent was recognised when she was one of the top 10 MTN Bush Fire Fly finalists in 2022.
