Music  enthusiasts have something to look forward to as Lastborn Heart Romancer joins forces with Mr. Kangaroo for their upcoming single, “eMhlaleni,” set to be released on May 16 2025.

Siyabonga Mhlanga, known as Lastborn Heart Romancer, has made a name for himself in the Afro House genre with powerful lyrics that resonate with themes of love, hope, and faith. He has achieved significant success with popular tracks like “Jehova”* and *“Phindukhulume.”

On the other hand, Mr. Kangaroo is celebrated for his distinctive hip-hop style, with hits such as “Jozi” and “Wadla Jesu.” Together, they promise a fresh and dynamic collaboration*.

Mhlanga emphasized the inspiration behind his music, stating, “My music aims to inspire hope and faith in people facing life’s challenges. Even in tough situations, it’s important to hold on to hope and believe that with God, anything is possible.” He noted that his songs often draw from real-life experiences, making them relatable, particularly in “eMhlaleni,” which addresses themes of loss and longing.

Describing the song as a poignant and emotional piece, Mhlanga elaborated, “The song explores the pain and hardship of losing a loved one, whether it’s a parent, relative, or friend. We never know when our last day will be; many people long to be alive today but are no longer here to fulfill their dreams.”

Mhlanga praised Mr. Kangaroo, stating, “He is a legend in the industry and was my first choice for this collaboration. I needed someone who could create excellent instrumentals and elevate the song to hit status.”

Kangaroo shared his excitement about the partnership: “I was blown away by Lastborn Heart Romancer’s verse during a TikTok challenge. It was so beautiful and well-written that I suggested we turn it into a full song. We crafted the beat from scratch and then recorded it together.”
