MBABANE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has called upon Emaswati to be proud of who they are and take pride of the fact that they have Eswatini as a country.
The Prime Minister believes that there is a need among Emaswati to change their mindset and adopt an attitude where they will be proud of who they are. “I would rather we ignite pride in the country – that we are a Nation, we know what we can do and are doing it and we are determined to be the best and we will be,” Dlamini was quoted by Government as having said so on September 13, 2024.
Government used the premier’s statement to unpack the ‘Nkwe’ Policy Statement. Today (Tuesday, October 8, 2024), Government is unpacking the Policy Statement on the issue of mindset change. To instill the pride that the prime minister calls for, Government commits itself to instill a culture of patriotism among Emaswati.
The Government further aims to instill the culture of excellence and the mindset of thinking big. According to Government, the culture of excellence and patriotism, and the mindset of thinking big will be embedded in its values and will be promoted across all sectors of the economy and society.
Government will instill the culture of excellence and the mindset of thinking big using many forms. The forms will include formal education, in-service training, and rigorous promotion, following the development of curricula to cover these important aspects.
