MBABANE – The country’s shining stars that are set to represent the country in the 2025 Regional Annual Sports Awards (RASA) are set to share the stage with Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The awards nominees that will also feature local stars are yet to be announced by the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5. The awards set to be graced by the Zimbabwean President are set for May 24, 2025 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).

Eswatini had already submitted its cream of the crop after the best sports stars in the country were awarded with the awards on March 21, 2025 at Esibayeni Lodge during the National Sports Awards held by the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC).

By virtue of winning in the country, some of the athletes then qualified for the RASA Region 5 awards.

The country last year celebrated swimmer Hayley Hoy who was won the Junior Sportswomen of the year award.
