MBABANE – It was a day of worship, warmth, and heartfelt goodbyes as the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) Students Christian Movement (SCM) hosted a memorable farewell for its Year 3 Semester 2 members at the serene Sandla Park on Friday.

From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, laughter, prayer, and music filled the air as SCM students celebrated those who have been pillars of faith and service within the campus fellowship. The farewell wasn’t just a goodbye—it was a tribute to commitment, spiritual growth, and lifelong friendships built in the house of God.

To help fund the occasion, each student contributed E150, making the gathering possible. In return, the departing members received personalised gifts as tokens of appreciation for their dedication to ministry and their role in strengthening the SCM community.

In an emotional speech, outgoing chairperson Benny Dlamini, who is also completing Semester 6, praised the resilience and commitment of his fellow students.

“We have seen students who remained faithful to God despite the academic pressure and challenges. Their passion for Christ was clear from the first day. They’ve been true disciples,” he shared.

Current chairlady Ayanda Nkambule also expressed deep gratitude to the outgoing members.

“Your leadership and service have left a mark. Thank you for representing Jesus Christ well on campus,” she said. “As the new team, we are inspired to carry the vision forward. We also appreciate the University for Continuously giving us a space to worship every weekday.”

The farewell event blended fellowship, celebration, and prayer, offering a joyful send-off to students who are stepping into a new phase of life—with the spirit of SCM and Christ guiding them forward.
