MBABANE – A live gospel recording marking his bold launch as a standalone artist.
The highly anticipated live recording of gospel artist Machawe Simelane at the Mavuso Trade Centre has officially set the tone for his journey as an independent gospel artist. According to his production manager, Fakazi Samuel of Sabela Records, the event was more than just a recording, it was a defining moment to launch Machawe into his own unique sound and ministry.
“The vision was to formally launch him as a standalone gospel recording artist who will now own his music and be known for his own sound,” Fakazi explained.
The live recording was designed to create an atmosphere of authentic worship, where music would not only entertain but also uplift and edify the body of Christ. “We wanted the audience to experience a strong worship sound that draws God’s people to Him,” Fakazi said. “Most of Machawe’s songs work toward the edification of the body of Christ.”
To ensure the setup matched the spiritual tone of the music, Sabela Records collaborated with Blue House Entertainment, a team experienced in live gospel productions. The crew attended rehearsals ahead of the event to understand the songs and atmosphere, ensuring that the final production aligned with the vision.
As part of Sabela Records, Fakazi highlighted their role in supporting artists beyond logistics. “We fully understand what their vision is and what God has called them to do, then the rest is easy,” he shared. For the label, projects like this are more than music releases; they are tools for kingdom advancement. “This project is another tool that God will use to advance His Kingdom,” he affirmed.

For Fakazi, Machawe’s ministry stands out because of its depth and transformative power. “It’s music that speaks to someone’s heart; music that is capable of transforming one’s life for Christ,” he said. “I love working on things that have the potential to yield good fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Speaking about the song Masimbonge, Fakazi emphasized its impact: “Anyone listening to this song will have a clear understanding that God is God by Himself and He sits on His Holy throne, He deserves praise! These kinds of songs are for worship and can even be used in times of spiritual war. Some battles are won just by singing songs of worship to God.”
Fakazi also highlighted the importance of live gospel recordings. “During the live recording, the capturing is done whilst you’re literally ministering to people ‘live,’ and the delivery is as authentic as possible. Studio recordings, while excellent, often have some control toward a desired outcome, which makes the delivery a bit different.”
At its core, the live album is a call for people to return to worship. “Our Lord Jesus is King forever and He deserves praise from all His people,” Fakazi concluded. “These songs are tools to help believers worship Him for who He is. I implore people to support Machawe in any way possible and purchase his songs.”
With Masimbonge now available on all digital platforms, listeners in Eswatini and across the globe are invited to experience Machawe Simelane’s heart for worship and the powerful message his music carries.
