MBELEBELENI – Mamba clan monarch, King Maloyi III, has delivered an inspiring address, urging the residents of Shiselweni to embrace faith, unity, and social responsibility as they embark on a new year.

Speaking passionately at the Year Opening Prayer on Sunday, 9 February 2025, at Mbelebeleni Umphakatsi in Ngudzeni, the king emphasized the need to seek divine guidance in all aspects of life and to uphold the virtues of love, peace, and integrity.

King Maloyi III began his address by acknowledging the significance of prayer, expressing gratitude for the collective commitment of the people to begin the year with divine intercession.

“The beginning of wisdom is to fear God, which is why we have to start the year by praying to Him,” he stated, reinforcing the importance of a spiritual foundation in personal and communal progress.

He further emphasized that true success is rooted in God’s guidance, urging the nation to put their trust in Him and not solely rely on their understanding.

The monarch’s powerful message extended beyond spirituality to address pressing societal challenges. He issued a stern warning against gender-based violence (GBV), calling on residents to reject this scourge and instead cultivate an environment of mutual respect and love as prescribed by biblical teachings.

“Let us exercise love as dictated in the Bible,” he urged, emphasizing the role of compassion in building a cohesive and just society.

In addition to denouncing GBV, King Maloyi III expressed deep concern over the rise of gangsterism in schools within the Shiselweni region. He attributed this worrying trend to the influence of certain television programs that glorify negative behavior and create a false sense of glamour around crime. The king cautioned parents and educators to remain vigilant and instil moral discipline in the youth to prevent such destructive influences from taking root.

A notable highlight of his address was his appreciation for the spirit of unity displayed by different religious denominations present at the gathering. He recognized the attendance of members from various church sects, including members from the Red Gown Sect and Zionist members, praising their commitment to fostering a unified and spiritually strong community.

King Maloyi III concluded his address with a heartfelt call for peace, love, and collective responsibility. “Let there be peace and love as we start the year,” he proclaimed, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared vision for a harmonious and God-centered future.

His powerful and uplifting message has resonated deeply among the people of Shiselweni, inspiring hope and reaffirming the essential values of faith, unity, and ethical living as pillars of a prosperous society.
