MBABANE – Contrary to recent incorrect reports, seasoned editor Martin Dlamini is not leaving the Times of Eswatini.
In fact, he is stepping into an even more influential leadership role.
Dlamini, who has long served as Managing Editor at the publication, has been promoted to Managing Director – a move that reflects the media house’s confidence in his leadership and commitment to journalistic excellence.

Speaking to Eswatini Positive News, Dlamini firmly refuted claims that he had left the publication. “It’s not true,” he stated. “I am very much part of the Times of Eswatini, and I’m proud of the direction we are taking.”
This development comes alongside another major internal promotion. Thobeka Manyathela, formerly Weekend Editor, has now assumed the role of Managing Editor. Manyathela is widely respected for her editorial insight and her ability to steer impactful stories across the publication’s weekend editions.
