EZULWINI – Who wouldn’t want to celebrate their birthday with Master KG?
The award-winning South African DJ, singer, and record producer Master KG (30) will perform at Mawillis Birthday Bash, which is slated for 28 March 2025, at Mdzimba View Shisanyama, as confirmed by the birthday boy, Manqoba ‘Mawillis’ Dlamini.
According to Dlamini, the line-up will be announced soon in due course. Tickets to the show are already available. Presale tickets are E150, VIP tickets are E250, and tickets at the gate will be E200 for General and E300 for VIP.
Master KG, born Kgaogelo Moagi in Tzaneen, Limpopo, achieved acclaim with his debut album titled Skeleton Move, which won an AFRIMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category. He is also known as the pioneer of Bolobedu Dance. He has mastered the Afro House, Electro Afro-pop, and House genres since 2016. His second studio album titled Jerusalema was released in 2020, containing the international hit single Jerusalema, featuring Nomcebo Zikode and Burna Boy. This single was certified diamond by the FRA and topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
Mdzimba View Shisanyama successfully hosted South African techno and House Amapiano vocalist Scotts Maphuma, born Mpo Lebojoa, for this year’s Back To School Party earlier this month. The show was a major success as it was fully packed.
Local supporting acts that were also part of the show included Sbu De Drum DJ, Bandora, AyaCity, Sgitha, Fantasy, The Bishops, Zulu D, Culolam, Lady Zee, ItsallBlaq, Menzi MC, Sintour, and Banele.
Maphuma has taken South African townships to new heights with his electrifying style, powerful lyrics, and boundless energy. Scott captures the spirit of township culture, making waves in the music industry. His presence is a vibrant reflection of the dynamic urban culture that pulses through South Africa’s townships—where every beat, fashion thread, and word of lingo tells a story of euphoria.
