MBABANE – Dedication and hard work have secured Maxwell Jele another four years as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA).
Jele’s reappointment follows the election of the EOCGA Board in December, where Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa was re-elected as President, with Zakhele Dlamini serving as Vice-President.
“Maxwell Jele reinstated as EOCGA CEO. Following a three-day orientation retreat at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini, EOCGA President Adam Mthethwa confirmed these developments,” read an EOCGA statement.
EOCGA, affiliated with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1972, operates on a four-year planning cycle (quadrennials) aimed at advancing its vision.
This marks Jele’s second term as CEO, having first been appointed in 2021 to succeed Sydney Simelane.
