MBABANE – France’s senior men’s football team captain and former Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has been official presented as Real Madrid player today (Tuesday, July 16, 2024) at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain.
As per www.espn.com, over 80 000 Madrid fans were present during the France Superstar presentation at Real Madrid’s home ground, where he was handed the No. 9 shirt by the club President Florentino Perez.
Speaking in front of thousands of fans gathered at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Mbappe said, “For years I’ve dreamed of playing for Real Madrid and today my dream has come true.” He added that, “I’m a happy boy. I’m going to give my life for this club.” He added.
Real Madrid announced last month that Mbappe had agreed to join the Capital, ending their long pursuit of the forward, after coming close to signing him in 2017 and 2022. The 25-year-old completed his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Madrid after his contract expired. He completed his medical on earlier in the morning and signed a five-year contract.
Although his new teammate began training on Monday, the striker, who captained France have a few more days off before kicking off his season in the Spanish giants.
