MBABANE- An exciting match awaits in the women’s football league as the determined Mbekelweni Ladies gear up to face the high-flying Young Buffaloes. The match is scheduled to take place over the weekend at Ecinisweni Sports Ground.
Currently positioned 11th on the table, Mbekelweni Ladies are focused on climbing the ranks. With six points so far, they are eager to add more to their tally and continue building momentum. The team has shown resilience throughout the season and will be aiming to surprise their opponents with a spirited performance.
On the other side, the Young Buffaloes have been nothing short of impressive, leading the league with 24 points. Their strong form and tactical discipline have made them a formidable force. However, they are not resting on their laurels. The team continues to train intensively, fine-tuning their skills and strategies for the upcoming showdown.
Young Buffaloes chief executive Sandile Gwebu expressed confidence in his team’s preparation. “We’ve been preparing well for this match, and I think everything is going well,” he said. “We have not seen anything bad so far and there are no serious injuries among our players, although preparations are still ongoing.”
Gwebu also emphasized the holistic training approach the team adopts. “I prepare my players mentally and emotionally because it’s not all about physical fitness. Training is essential, but the game itself is the best teacher. Each match brings new lessons, and we are always ready to learn and adapt,” he explained.
With both teams showing dedication and hunger for success, this fixture promises to be closely contested. While Young Buffaloes enter as favorites due to their strong form, Mbekelweni Ladies’ fighting spirit and continuous improvement could give them the edge.
