MANZINI – Laughter Takes Center Stage.
Mark your calendars for April 29,2025, as the Liberty Community Center transforms into a hub of laughter from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Emerging comedian Mdzura the Comedian is set to host his very first comedy show, featuring a line-up of talented local artists.
Born Mduduzi Simphiwe Dlamini, known as “Mdzura,” is a 22-year-old Swazi comedian who graduated from Salesian High School in 2022. Reflecting on his journey, Dlamini shared, “During my time there, I began to discover who I am and what I wanted to do. One person who inspired me greatly was the late Smallz. He taught me that if I want to achieve my dreams, I have to push myself.”
The name “Mdzura” was given to him by his teacher, Mrs. Dlamini. He recalls, “When she gave me that name, everyone found it funny and it stuck with me. I started performing at school assemblies, and soon other schools began inviting me as a guest performer.”
This event will showcase performances from renowned acts including MavaraLePoet, Christian Maz, Stufuza weCountry, Pepe & Shodi, and many more. With a diverse range of comedic styles, attendees are sure to experience a day filled with joy and laughter. Supporter Christian Maz stated, “We are expecting nothing else but greatness, and we anticipate more great numbers as the tickets are affordable. This is something that we should exercise doing as the growth of one is the growth of many.”
Mdzura, who is passionate about bringing the community together through laughter, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the show. “As an emerging artist, I feel like hosting a show will help me market myself to the media and the nation. This will also boost my social media following.” He is eager for community support and involvement, stating, “I’m reaching out for marketing opportunities to help promote this event and ensure we reach as many people as possible.”
