NGWENYA– Eswatini’s fast-rising hip-hop sensation MicPiggy, real name Mphilenhle Trinity Manzini, has officially released her powerful new single “Do It” on 29 November 2025, delivering a bold message of resilience and faith.

Born and raised in Ngwenya, MicPiggy says her love for music began early. “I developed my passion for music at the age of 12, and hip hop just spoke to me,” she shared. Her official debut came in 2021 with the single “Make It Fast,” which earned her immediate recognition in the local music scene.

After her breakthrough, she expanded her reach by collaborating with artists such as Lady Sphesh, Mr Kangaroo, Esam SD and Nokania. In 2023, she released her single “Losers,” while continuing to craft new music with her producer TNS Savvy.

Her efforts were acknowledged in May this year when she was nominated and won Best Upcoming Female Artist at the Young Achievers Africa Awards—a milestone she describes as deeply motivating as she prepares for her debut EP titled “Live, Love and Grind.”

The heart of her current excitement, however, is the release of “Do It,” a song born out of one of the most difficult moments of her career. MicPiggy openly admitted that the track was written during a period when she almost quit music altogether.

“People kept telling me that the music industry doesn’t pay, and that doing hip hop in Eswatini is useless,” she said. “I listened to those negative voices and started asking myself: what’s the point of doing something that people say isn’t worth it? I was really close to giving up.”

But everything changed when she felt a shift within her spirit.

“A positive voice told me: you’re not doing this for people, this is your dream. Putting your energy into your dream is worth it. God is always with you,” she said. “Whatever I do, I do it for myself, for my son, and to make my late parents proud because they believed in me.”

She said the song carries a message she hopes reaches anyone who feels discouraged.

“No matter how much people try to pull you down, you can still get up and level up. Whoever is hating will be disappointed,” she explained. “Don’t listen to negative voices. Have a one-on-one with God and everything will flow. The devil doesn’t like success, so he’ll try to take it away, but don’t allow that.”

MicPiggy believes “Do It” will inspire many to confront doubt and push forward with faith and determination. Fans can now stream the track on YouTube.
